Sarah's Key

I had already read this book some time ago and reviewed it on this blog, see August 11, 2010 for details of the story.  The movie was very true to the book and they did a great job of casting each character.  As with the book you will find yourself on the edge of your seat waiting to find the outcome of the two characters that are sharing their story with you.

I loved seeing this book come to life on the screen and think you will enjoy it too.

Enjoy the movie. 5 out of 5 stars.

Larry Crowne

This was a sweet movie that anyone can enjoy.  Tom Hanks character is lovable to the core and the friendships he forms throughout the movie with anyone he meets are a joy to watch.

Julia Roberts has a more complex character with a rocky relationship at home, a bit of tendency to drink too much and a dissatisfaction for her job.  She is also enjoyable to watch, as we all want to see a messy life possibly worse than our own.

The question that comes up is would this movie be as good as it is with some no-name actors? Great question, fortunately we don't have to find out.  Both of these stars bring it and deliver what we've grown to know and love about them both.  There are other stars that shine in this movie that may become better known in time.  Overall I give this movie 5 stars.
